Coffee Roast Levels

  • LIGHT

    Coffee Beans are roasted to our lightest level. Usually before first cracks end. Called a Half City Roast.

  • MEDIUM / LIGHT

    Coffee Beans are roasted to first crack. Called a City Roast. This is our most frequent roast level.

  • MEDIUM

    Coffee Beans are roasted after first cracks before well before second crack. Called a City+ Roast.

  • MEDIUM / DARK

    Coffee Beans are roasted to the start of second cracks.

  • DARK

    Coffee Beans are roasted from the start of second cracks to 15 seconds into second cracks.

  • VERY DARK

    Coffee Beans are roasted beyond 15 seconds into second cracks. We do not currently have any coffee roasts of this level.

    The Dally Family rents out a coffee roasting facility in Denver,CO to create some of our own signature roasts using responsibly sourced, specialty grade coffee beans!


    Featuring a Light, Medium, Dark, and Espresso roast, these are some of our personal favorites when it comes to standard roasts.


    Our Espresso roast has been featured in product collaborations since 2021 and we're now making it available to our customers!

    For our barrel-aged roasts, cold brew, and specialty flavors, we work together with Janus to lock in our flavor profile and customize roast levels and blends.

    Janus Coffee sells only fresh roasted, responsibly sourced, specialty grade coffee.

    About 1/2 an ounce of beans (~160 Beans) are ideal for an 8oz Cup. Adjust to your preferences. We can also pre-grind prior to shipment, just select ground instead of whole bean.
